Changing the world just doesn’t happen intentionally. Marketers can spend billions of dollars trying to change people and fail miserably. People have been trying to understand what it takes to change people for centuries. It just doesn’t happen in any predictable way.
That means, every second you spend trying to change people around the world is virtually wasted. All the protesting in the world won’t matter compared to the simple act of living. Focusing on changing things outside of your control is pointless.
Changing things is a natural course of the world. People will improve along with the world whether you try or not. Protesting, trying to convince people, spending your precious resources, are all indirect means of changing the world.
The direct way to change the world is by living. Focus on improving your own life and you’ll become more and more powerful in changing other people’s lives.
You don’t have to give up all of this indirect stuff but do it for the right reasons. Do it to help yourself grow. Don’t expect the world to change just because you want it to.
