One of the greatest skills in life is measurement. You can achieve just about anything with the right understanding of how to measure the factors involved. When you learn to and choose to measure something, you get to find the patterns that make things happen.
Measurement is something that very few people take advantage of fully.
People overlook it. They tell themselves that they’ll keep track of something once they start seeing results (or just think they don’t need the measurements.) That’s absurd though. You can’t understand when you’re getting results without being dedicated to measuring the results that the world provides you with.
For me, personally, it’s effect goes beyond any rational explanation I have. I’ve seen changes that I couldn’t have even imagined after I learned to measure.
Once you measure, getting anything done becomes a matter of when not how. How will take care of itself with a little scientific experimentation. When you’re failing, you’ll try something new. When you’re succeeding, you’ll grow infinitely.
Make a decision to measure the things that you want to improve. Measure your money input and output if that’s what you want more of. If you want to lose weight then measure every inch of your body regularly. Anything can be measured. You just need to have the right strategy and metric.
Finding that is well worth it.
